Director, RMLIMS, Prof Soniya Nityanand on Wednesday said the emergency wing would be expanded as the daily arrival of patients was more than the present capacity of 48 beds, including 14 ICU beds.
“A two-story building will be constructed to accommodate 40-50 more patients,” she said.
Besides, the institute is also planning to provide medicines to patients at 50-60% discount through the Hospital Revolving Funds (HRF). Three counters will be set up for the purpose which will also provide surgical items at affordable rates.
One counter will provide medicines to OPD patients while the remaining two will provide surgical items and medicines, respectively, to patients admitted to the hospital.
